Historical context • This collection contains more than 95 pieces total. • The theme is called give thanks. • It’s a visual depiction of all we have to be thankful for; the beauty of nature, freedom, humor, and angels watching over us. • This event began in 2006. • The exhibit showcases a wide spectrum of works, that include sculptures, paintings, ceramics, 3-D art, photography and much more.

Personal/curricular connections • We use old main as a hallway used to get from one place to another. • We see the displays of art work every time we pass by them in the hall. • We think of stories for each painting. • Old main is where are classes are held. • They remind us of how important art is in our everyday lives. • In history we hear about art and how it started long ago in many different cultures. • In Math we can see length by measuring and circumference of the circle.

  18. Possible Lines of inquiry • How this exhibit has grown since its start in 2006. Paintings, photographs, sculptures, and much more have been added through the years.
