Benefits Section Benefits: Administersthe GS/OAS statutory benefits including: • Mobilization Allowance • Dependency Allowance • Home Leave • Maternity and Parental Leave • Repatriation Benefits Consular Section: • G4 visa issuance and renewal requests for GS/OAS staff, consultants, and interns • G5 visa for domestic employees • Registration, termination and change of personal information with the US Department of State • Employment Authorization Documents for dependents of G-4 visa holders • Change of Status Travel Documents: • Issuance and administration of the OAS Official Travel Documents

Benefits Insurance Office and Health Unit • Provides daily clinical care for staff (walk-in consultations) • Performs pre-employment physicals • Handles medical emergencies and work related injuries • Maintains updated referral network of health care providers • Provides preventive health services: Flu vaccines • Organizes a variety of wellness programs including annual health fairs, screenings and educational seminars. OAS Internship Program • Provides students and young professionals with the opportunity to acquire significant knowledge of the OAS, its mission, pillars, structure and projects in the hemisphere, while they are working in their fields of study. The Program is offered three times a year at OAS Headquarters, in Washington, DC and at the OAS Country Offices. Internship sessions are from 10 to 15 weeks long. The Program hosts an average of 300 interns per year. Although it is unpaid, the OAS Internship Program is highly competitive, with an average of 2,400 applications received every year. www.oas.org/internships
