This is a very good symbol, as it proves that there is no discrimination made with any of the candidates based on gender. Recently this lady officer were on Hot Lines of media as had made an allegation against her senior, boss, Commissioner of Police Navdeep Singh Virk. The allegation which she made is of harassment and mental torture and fallaciously interfering in the enquiry into a high-profile rape case. As Bharti is from 1998 batch and Navdeep Singh Virk is an officer from 1994 batch but one thing is common in them is that both of them belong to Haryana Cadre. However, Navdeep Singh Virk is denying all the allegations put against him. Bharti told to media that she has written letter to Haryana DGP Yashpal Singhal and she is demanding for higher level investigation including the CBI into the fallacious interference of Virk in the alleged rape case. Talking about the rape case, Bharti said that the complainant has earlier also made such charges of rape and harassment against the two man. During the probe, it was found that the alleged rape accused Ajay Bhardwaj who is the son of a senior IAS officer and his family was intentionally culpably involved in this rape case. Bharti even said that when she initiated the investigation and as the fact of the case started to get uncover she eventually came to know that the Commissioner of Police Virk has wrongfully involved the entire family of the accused. Then she objected and tried to stop him. The Officer Virk started torturing her mentally, he even periled her and asked her to leave the case otherwise she will have to bear the consequences. Earlier to that she had also written a letter to DGP Singhal complaining against the Commissioner of Police on asking his involvement in the case. She also wrote that Virk is likely to cause danger to her career. On the other hand, Virk too wrote a report to the DGP blaming the Bharti is getting prejudiced on saving the rape accused as the sister of the accused is her friend.

  2. The court in his judgement charged Ajay Bharadwaj, an MNC executive and the son of Gurgaon’s former IAS deputy Commissioner R.P. Bharadwaj with the offence of rape u/s 375 and punished him accordingly u/s 376 and his family members for criminal intimidation u/s 506 of Indian Penal code.
