  2. Background: • It’s old. Began 1978. OSU & OR manufacturing companies. • It’s grown. In 2012 400+ students placed at ~90 companies. • It’s not new. BIS involved 15+ years. Other majors more recent. But… • It’s a unique opportunity. We are the only business school in Oregon that regularly participates in MECOP!

Standard vs. Supplemental Applications Standard: Supplemental: • Work anywhere in OR. • 2 Internships in SU/FA of junior & senior year. • BIS, MKT, & MGT may apply. • Apply one year in advance. • Current students only. • Internships are well paid. • Work anywhere in OR. • 1 Internship in SU/FA 2013. • BIS & MGT may apply. • Apply now! • Internship this year. • Grads can participate. • Internships are well paid.

  4. Requirements: BIS pre-requisite classes: BA 272, ACTG 378, BA 371, BA 372 If not in BA 371 this term, you wouldn’t be eligible for the Supplemental application. MGT pre-requisite classes: BA 352, BA 364 If not in BA 352 this term, you wouldn’t be eligible for the Supplemental application. Academic Standing & GPA: • Pro-school student now • Junior or senior standing* • Good standing with COB • Complete pre-requisites *Graduating students can apply!

  5. Interview Process 1st Interview= Selection Panel interview format Length is about 30 min. Behavioral Questions Interviewers are company reps (3-5). COB faculty assist only. 2nd interview=Placement Mingle time/activities before interview * Interview format, panel, length and questions similar to selection interview * These networking activities are required!

  6. Dates & Deadlines: • Apply online by January 14, 2013. • Read instructions carefully! • Send printed materials to MECOP office not COB • Selection Interview on January 18, 2013. • Placement Interview on January 30-31st.
