Strategic Fit • In support of the Scottish Government’s economic strategy for sustainable economic growth, our Informatics commercialisation programme is a nation-wide “Knowledge Triangle” alliance consisting of the most excellent academic, industry, public sector and entrepreneurship partners that will generate a cumulative contribution to Scotland’s GDP (Gross Value Add) of £128 million by 2016.

  6. £49M Programme funded by University, Government and SE The Intervention : £19M of Public Sector funding to place Scotland at forefront of Informatics research, teaching and its commercial exploitation • Scottish Enterprise support for PROSPEKT (Commercialisation) • Approval of £5M gross (2006-11) towards the capital and revenue costs of enhanced informatics commercialisation activities • Scottish Government support for FORUM (Building) • Approval of £14M gross (2005-08) gap funding towards the construction costs of a new, purpose built informatics research facility
