  14. Enrollment Application • Under 18 requires a parents signature • Submit your enrollment application when you come for placement testing • Its Free!

  15. HS Transcripts • Official HS transcripts or GED (required for Fin Aid) • Send your AP test results from Educational Testing Services

  16. Placement Testing • Call the Testing Center to schedule these! • Timing for fall in April and for Spring in October. January dates for CE • Allow 2 ½ - 3 hrs • English/Writing/Math – prepare.   17. English • Cannot be exempt with SAT/ACT • 2 part – untimed grammar • Argumentative Essay (45 minutes)

  18. Reading • SAT/550 or ACT/21= Exempt • Untimed • Reading passages and answering questions – testing comprehension

  22. Tuition & How to Pay • Pay cashier or be billed • FACTS Tuition Payment Plan • Tuition is $118.82 per billable hour (In-county) • 3 credit class = $356.46 • Approximately $1663.48 per semester (based on 14 billable hrs)

Financial Aid General Eligibility: • GED or high school diploma must be obtained prior to receiving financial aid (concurrently enrolled students will not qualify) • For federal financial aid programs, male students must register for the selective service • Student must maintain satisfactory academic progress to continue to get aid

  25. Financial Aid Eligibility for Specific Programs: • Apply on time (Maryland need-based aid deadline is March 1 (can apply after Jan 1 for fall) • Pell grant awards are based on the student’s enrollment status; however, some federal and state aid programs require full-time enrollment.

  26. Financial Aid • FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) at www.fafsa.ed.gov • Application is FREE • Use last year’s income taxes to complete • Fill out FAFSA on the Web worksheet first to use as a guide when completing the online form • Online signatures and PINs

  27. Financial Aid Scholarship applications: • Check libraries and online • Be aware of early deadlines • Apply for Carroll Foundation Scholarships in Mar/Apr • Check Financial Aid Office bulletin boards and web pages
