9. Locating Employers: Searching Reference USA Business type Lookup window Reference USA is a powerful tool searching potential employers by industry and geographical location. Choose either U.S Businesses for the broadest range of coverage, or U.S. New Business to look at brand new businesses. View results 1.Select Custom Search for the most options in searching the database. Geography 2. Click on Business type on the left side of the screen to search for specific occupations. 3. Click on Geography, to limit your results to a specific range, based on a specific zip code. 4. For keyword searching, type the occupation in the lookup window and click on lookup. 5.
