  3. 2x + 7 + x =16 3x+7 =16 3x =9 X=3

  4. -3(m-6)=4 -3m +18 =4 -3m=-14 M =14/3

  5. 3(x+12)-x=8 3x+36 –x =8 2x +36 =8 2x=-28 X=-14

  6. 2(x+1) +x=7 2x+2 +x =7 3x +2 =7 3x =5 X= 5/3
