  1. Warm-up Compare seafood to other types of protein sources (beef, chicken, pork or tofu). • Do you think there is more or less information available to the consumer about whether their food is ‘sustainable’ or how they can be ‘responsible’ consumers?

  2. Pre-movie discussion • From yesterday, what conclusion did you come to about what it means to be overfished?

  3. If there’s no fish, why didn’t anyone know? • Researchers carefully monitor catches and conduct their own population estimates. • Watch for reasons why they missed warning signs that the oceans were being over-harvested
