  2. LAB SAFETY You MAY NOT ENTER any lab room unless you are properly attired. Not for lab; not for a lab exam. Closed-toed shoes, long pants (NO SKIN SHOWING), and covered shoulders and upper arms – NO TANK TOPS

Lab Safety • No food or drink • Not at your desk, not in “my” trashcan! • Never leave a heat source unattended • Goggles with splash shields required • If we use heat source • If we use any chemicals • Glasses recommended over contacts! • Close-toed shoes • You MAY NOT stay without the worksheet

  6. Useful Tips • Put BOTH names on your papers!!!!! • No name; no grade ….. • ABAC “emergency number” • (229) 391-5225 • I do not give out grades via email/FB/etc. • Never, EVER delete an assignment from your USB stick until after the semester is over!

  7. Useful Tips • Read the lab before you walk in the door! • There WILL be a quiz • Worksheets should be ready to hand in as you walk in the door! • Bring your goggles every week

  8. Useful Tips: eMail • Identify yourself and which class you’re in! • There’s a place for a subject line. Use it! • Use proper English

  9. Useful Tips: Contact Me • Don’t say you couldn’t – you didn’t try! • Voicemail • Email – two addresses for you to choose from! • Facebook – Susan Baker Farmer (and you don’t have to friend me to do that!) • Office hours! • Before/After class!

  18. From the Syllabus – Exams • Programmable calculators, PDAs, cell phones, headphones, etc. are not permitted during exams or quizzes. Failure to comply will result in a ZERO for the exercise. • Ball caps or other hats or head wear may not be worn on test days. • Make-up exams will NOT be given (after the fact!) – if you miss it; it’s your drop grade
