  1. Georgia • southern colonies • Founded in 1733 • By: Giovanni O. and Myah Z.

  2. Georgia • James Oglethrope and King George the second founded the colony. • Georgia got it’s name from King George the second. James Oglethrope wanted to send debtors to Georgia to start a new life there. ( Debtors are poor people that get thrown in jail for not paying their taxes. )

  3. Georgia • King George the second wanted to expanded land because he knew he could gain control of that area • In 1733 the first group of colonists founded the settlement of Savannah.

  4. Georgia • The colonists made money off of growing cash crops and selling it and thats also how they get their food. • EX They grow Tobacco and rice.

  5. Georgia • Adults and kids always had to work a lot but they always found time to play with each other. • EX Boys played tag, ball, marbles, and flied kites. They also like to play with popguns, drums, and hoops. • EX Girls played with dolls made out of rags and cornhusks and some wooden dolls.They also nit cloths for the dolls.
