To complete the assessment and review of the implementation of the Hyogo Framework for Action; • To consider the experience gained through the regional and national strategies/institutions and plans for disaster risk reduction and their recommendationsas well as relevant regional agreements under the implementation of the Hyogo Framework for Action; • To adopt a post-2015 framework for disaster risk reduction; • To identify modalities of cooperation based on commitments to implement a post-2015 framework for disaster risk reduction; • To determine modalities for periodic review of the implementation of a post-2015 framework for disaster risk reduction; Voluntary Commitments to the Worldwide Initiative for Safe Schools • National plans towards safe schools in respective countries • Advocacy to engage other countries • Assistance to other countries

  3. Elements of the Roadmap • Global objectives and goals • Standard indicators • Continuous sharing of good practices • National targets based on respective situations • Cohesive support from development partners

  4. Ways Forward • Name the roadmap – e.g. The “Istanbul Roadmap” on School Safety • Hosting the next meeting (January 2015) • Drafting the Worldwide Initiative Roadmap • Agenda and attendance for the launch of the Worldwide Initiative at the Third UN World Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction, 14-18 March 2015 in Sendai Japan
