  12. Successes & Challenges "My daughter and I really enjoyed our time at MEND. The staff were so friendly, helpful, and informative. Even though I have studied a lot about nutrition in the past I still learned so many things I didn't know. The best part for me was watching my daughter learn and becoming empowered to make positive, healthy choices all on her own. Parent from the Vancouver Strathcona program “The MEND program has been well received within our community! Once people understand that MEND is about positive lifestyle change for the entire family and that it is free, they get excited! The parents in our program are committed to improving the health of their children and themselves. The parents love the information and educational tools that their children are getting.  The children love the activities! The MEND program enables and motivates families to make healthier food choices, be more physically active and ultimately improve their quality of life!” MEND Leader
