Survey through industry participation (Mission Innovation) 210 State funded engineering colleges and 900 privately funded colleges 71 colleges under Pune University 8 Institutes with adequate infra-structure Majority of the Institutes with alarmingly low faculty in place The laboratories are either demo or simulation type

On line courses from IIT Bombay • Interactive mode of distant education (first time in the country) : extended by ISRO-IITB MOU after our success story • Dedicated internet connectivity 2 Mbps • Faculty Coordinator from COEP to act as bridge between IIT faculty and students • Question papers of IITB used for COEP students

Objectives…. • Raising the standard and improving attainment • Increasing retention and improving outcomes • Broadening choice • Increasing access to learning for disadvantaged student communities • Removing obstacles to achieve excellence • Effective utilization of intellectual resources • Platform for sharing of ideas and techniques and pooling of knowledge resources • Nurturing of scholars and learners • Use e-learning as an effort multiplier for providing access, quality and equality in the sphere of providing education to every learner
