  2. Journal  • Do you believe that you can fall in love with a person in one day?

  3. Data Quest • Go on a short research quest and look up the following terms: racism, sexism, and classism. • Define each term in your journals. • You will need working defintions for your projects today. So, make sure you understand the terms.

  4. Notes • Today, we are watching the infamous balcony scene. Romeo and Juliet profess their love for one another.  • We will watch the Zifarelli version as well as Westside Story. • While watching you will fill out Venn Diagrams that depict the similarities and differences in the scenes for both.

  6. Project • We will focus on the issues in each scene: racism, sexism, classism, and age. You will get into groups and decide which issue you would like to highlight in your modern day take of the scene. 

  7. Parameters • Your scenes should address modern day issues concerning racism, sexism, classism, or age. • They should be original and understandable. • Remember to block and project your voice while performing. • You will perform on Friday!
