  1. Good evening and welcome to 4th grade. We would like to take this time to welcome you and your child to Wilder Elementary and the 4th grade team. We’re sure you are as excited as we are about the upcoming year. It’s going to be great, and we’re looking forward to getting to know both you and your child. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns.   2. School begins at 8:00 a.m. each day. Students are tardy at 8:01. • Mrs. Hopkins will monitor this daily for issue of inclement weather or congested traffic conditions. We will adjust accordingly. • Dress Code: Please reference the AISD dress code for students. Parents will receive phone calls from the front office staff if students are in violation of any part of this code. • Parent Conferences….are being scheduled by teachers now. If you have specific questions or concerns about your child’s progress, please email him/her to schedule a conference. **I am utilizing the web tool, “BringIt”. The link will be posted on my website and you can sign-up now if you have access to your calendar.

  4. S.T.E.P.S. (Students Tackling Everyday Problem Solving):Two pages are given out on Monday and are due every Friday . • Alvin ISD Grading Policies are followed in consideration of late assignments: • 1st day late: maximum grade value of 90% • 2nd day late: maximum grade value of 80% • 3rd day late: maximum grade value of 70% • 4th day or later: no credit for the assignment
