DAVIS • I am very excited to share this wonderful year with you and your students. • I am a very passionate first year teacher. • I have an 8 month old son, Kash. • I moved to St. Joseph about 2 years ago from North Carolina, where my husband and I worked for NASCAR. • I enjoy spending time with my family, scrapbooking, crafting, racing and many other things. • I am looking forward to getting to know you and your students!   4. 4 boxes of 24 Crayola crayons (1 box given out every 9 weeks) • 1 box Crayolawashable markers, wide tip, classic colors • 2 soft pink erasers 1 • 1pair of Fiskars scissors with sharp points • 2-8 oz. bottles of Elmer’s washable school glue, white • 1 old long sleeve shirt for art class • 2 different designed pocket folders (pockets on bottom) • 1 pack of Expo brand dry erase markers low odor, 4 color • 2 large boxes of Kleenex (200 ct. each) • 8 glue sticks • 12 count full-length Crayola colored pencils • 2 highlighters • 1 roll of Bounty paper towels • 2 boxes of 12 #2 pencils (sharpened) • 1 box of quart size Ziploc slide lock storage bags • 1” white binder (hard not flimsy) • 1 composition notebook (100 sheets – wide ruled) • 1 ser of headphones (3.5 stereo plug) –

  5. F.R.O.G. Book • (First Graders Responsible Organized & Growing) • This is our DAILY parent/teacher communication .Students will keep important information, reading logs, behavior calendars and anything else that we feel is important in this binder. • It will be organized out in an easy to use fashion. • If you need to send anything to school please put it in the FROG BOOK. • PLEASE CHECK THIS BOOK DAILY!!!

  6. This is our behavior chart: • You will notice that RED is GOOD!! • We are trying to change the way students and parents see behavior charts. • Students will have a calendar in their FROG Book. • There will also be an explaination sheet of the chart in the FROG Book.

There will be homework on occasion • Students will use the following as listed: • www.mytestbook.com (weekly) • Reading logs (daily) • There will also be other assigned homework (on occasion) • Fun family projects (on occasion) • We will also have a class pet (stuffed) that will go home with a student weekly. (I will explain more!)

  8. Students will be required to read to a parent or adult every night and complete the reading log in their folder. • Reading logs may vary depending on your students reading level.

  9. This is our class pet that I mentioned before. • We will name him/her as a class on the first day of school. • We will be putting together a scrapbook of his/her adventures while visiting your homes. • Students will learn several writing aspects throughout the year and they will incorporate them in the adventures.

  10. Specials Schedule – 1:00 – 1:40 Weekly Rotation – Music, Art, PE

  11. Students will be dismissed at 2:30 pm everyday! • They will go home they way you fill out your sheet tonight UNLESS you send a note the day of the change!

  12. I understand that there are times that your student may miss a day or part of a day and that is ok! We are all human.  • If your student misses they will learn to be responsible for getting their work. • There is a file box labeled with the dates, the work from that day will be in the folder. • ( I will help them at first.)

  13. Lunch: Students will be expected to maintain a positive balance in their account or bring their lunch to school daily. **Free and Reduced options are available from the cafeteria staff. Other Fees: Notes will be sent home if there is a need for any additional fees.
