  3. The teacher website also has links to my policies and School Notes. • Parent Portal • Be sure to check district website for all progress report and report card dates.

  4. Homework • Homework is given Monday through Thursday. The only homework that is given on a Friday is study homework or a long-term assignment. • THE STUDENTS DO NOT HAVE TIME TO COMPLETE HOMEWORK IN SCHOOL. • LATE ASSIGNMENTS ARE NOT ACCEPTED.

  5. Tests and Long Term Projects • All assignments are given with ample notice. • Tests and long term assignments are graded and become an important part of the grade. • Late assignments are not accepted.

  6. COURSE OUTLINE • UNITED STATES HISTORY • Government and Citizenship • Exploration and European Colonization • English Colonies • American Revolution • Constitution and Growth of a Nation • Jacksonian Era and Events Leading to Civil War • Civil War

  7. Classroom Behavior Goals • Respect • Yourself, your peers, your teachers, your environment • Responsibility • Be prepared: pens, text, HW • Be in class, on time, ready to work • Refinement • Good manners=please, thank you, excuse me • Learn something new every day!

  8. Assessment • Classwork/Quizzes: 40% • Tests/Projects: 60% • There are many opportunities in class to perform well on assignments as well as prepare for test success!
