  2. Objective: Members of the Bear Creek PBIS team will share how PBIS data guides decision-making regarding interventions for yellow & red zone students. Discussion will encompass both global and targeted strategies utilized to support their PBIS program and established county mandates (i.e., SST, IEP, attendance).

  3. Our Data Teams • We have two teams analyzing school-wide data in addition to our PBIS committee • PBIS Behavior Team • Meets 1x/month during school day • 2nd Tuesday of the month • Includes team leader, coach, administrator, and school counselor • Attendance Team • Meets 1x/month during school day • 4th Tuesday of the month • Includes team leader, coach, administrator, school counselor, social worker, and PPW

PBIS Behavior Team • Data printed and copied by team leader for team to review • Data includes: • Big 5 PBIS data lists – average referrals/day/month, location, problem behaviors, time of day, students involved • List of all yellow/red zone students • Informal input from Focus Room Interventionist • Data from the PBIS store • Decisions and interventions tracked by Team Leader

  5. Attendance Team • Data includes excel chart maintained by school secretary • She prints and copies for review • Excused absences • Tardies

An Activity • Look at the dot on your handouts – what color is it? • Please find others with the same color dot. • Each group has a different set of data to analyze • Attendance, school-wide, or student specific • Please review your data and develop at least two actions or interventions you might implement

  15. Ideas for next year • Develop a half-sheet form letter to share with teachers more effectively ideas/decisions from behavior/attendance teams • Providing list to teachers of their students who have earned blue locker paws at the end of each quarter
