Registration……YOU are in control! • At the point of course registration, a financial obligation is incurred. • Should a student decide they no longer wish to attend classes, they must drop the courses to eliminate the financial obligation. • Students can drop courses on-line through the Student Tab on the myUT portal or in person at Rocket Solution Central, 1200 Rocket Hall.

Registration……YOU are in control! • Courses dropped prior to the start of the term and during the first week of the term will provide a 100% refund of tuition and fee charges.  Courses dropped after that time will incur a partial charge. • Failure to drop a course for which a student has never attended or stopped attending may result in a grade of “F” as well as an outstanding balance due to the University. • If students decide not to attend a class they are registered for, they must drop it!

If selected, return all requested documents (i.e. parent and student tax information via IRS retrieval or transcript, verification worksheet, etc.) as quickly as possible!

  16. Waiveable Charges The aid programs offered above are based on full-time enrollment. Aid programs differ as to the payment for full-time versus part-time enrollment and class participation status. Some programs pro-rate on your billing statement based on actual enrollment and others may not pay for enrollment less than 12 hours. WAIVEABLE CHARGES: Students have an opportunity to waive the charges listed below each term. In order to waive any of these charges, students must follow the steps outlined on the myUT portal STUDENT tab. Health Insurance: The University of Toledo requires all students registered for 6 or more credits each term to have health insurance. Students who are currently insured by a health insurance policy (i.e. their own or their parents) may waive the UT sponsored Student Health Insurance Plan at the myUT portal. The approximate cost of the UT sponsored plan is $991 Fall semester, $1392 Spring and Summer semesters for students who are not eligible to waive the plan. Legal Service Fee $10 per semester ADDITIONAL CHARGES: Parking Permit $125 per semester if requested **Additional loan sources are available if needed to cover outstanding balances as well as to assist with the purchase of books and/or living expenses. Parents of dependent students are offered a PLUS Loan (Parent Loan for Undergraduate Students). Parents who wish to borrow this loan must complete an application electronically at www.studentloans.gov to initiate the required credit check. If approved in that process, parents need to sign a promissory note at www.studentloans.gov. If a parent is denied due to an adverse credit history, student may borrow additional Unsubsidized Stafford Loan funds in the amount of $4000 for the academic year. There are also alternative loans available to students through private lending institutions. The OSFA has provided information regarding this type of loan at http://www.utoledo.edu/financialaid/loans/index.html

Billing and PaymentE-Billing • E-billing is the University’s official method of communication! • Only online, will not be mailed • View your bill via myUT portal at http://myUT.utoledo.edu after registration • Only students have access through their myUT portal • Students will receive notices about payments due at their UT email address via firstname.lastname@rockets.utoledo.edu • Activity on your account may result in additional charges, check your account!

Billing and PaymentPayment Methods • Online payments: • Checking or savings account • Electronic direct payment allows a payment from either a checking or savings account using self service option at http://myUT.utoledo.edu • This method is convenient and can assist in ensuring the tuition payment is received on time! • No processing fee for this transaction! • Credit or Debit Card Payment • MasterCard, Discover, American Express payments can be made through third party processor at myut.utoledo.edu • A processing fee is assessed on all transactions • Credit card payments cannot be processed via mail, fax or in person
