Human Trafficking in Switzerland • Wikipedia says that Switzerland is a destination, and to a lesser extent transit country for women trafficked from Bulgaria, Slovakia, Slovenia, Ukraine, Moldova, Brazil, Dominican Republic, Thailand, Cambodia, Nigeria for the purposes of sexual exploitation. The Swiss authorities noted an increase of persons trafficked from eastern Europe especially Romania. • Swiss government officials and NGOs reported an increase in the number of children forced into begging and shoplifting from other parts of Europe
