Introduction to Ilias • Ilias Atwani is an experienced mining professional Engineer currently working for a global leader in the gold mining business. • Before he joined this company, Ilias worked for a British-Swiss multinational commodity trading and mining company for more than 6 years. • He has received his higher education from Laval University.

  3. Ilias’ Experience as a Mine Operations Coordinator • Responsible for the Mine Operation Readiness Plan (ORP) • Identify, map, create and optimize Underground Mine operation processes • Create KPI dashboards for Underground Mine production • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement new technologies to track/Control costs

  4. Plan, Execute, Measure, Improve production cycles in collaboration with the Engineering/Geology/Maintenance departments • Estimate the yearly material needed to operate and place the orders for the barge season

  5. Ilias’ experience as a Mining Junior Engineer – Surface Mines • Quarries and collecting ponds: - Design & panels exploitation sequence - Issuing drills and blast patterns and plans - Production activities scheduling • Tailings pond - Active participation in the Tailings pond management - Review and optimization of the stacking sequence - Water management, dishes network design & activities planning
