OBJECTIVES • EUFIRELAB promotes large exchanges of knowledge, know-how, data, results and analysis for improving the level of the wildland fire sciences and technologies in the Euro-Mediterranean area • EUFIRELAB research units develop common concepts, approaches, and “languages”, and elaborate common methods and protocols for research and/or technological development activities; integrating the specific spatial scales and diverse roles of the Euro-Mediterranean wildland areas. • Beyond these scientific and technological objectives, EUFIRELAB wants to build a network of excellence for wildland fire sciences and technologies in the European Research Area, even after the end of the 5th and 6th Framework programmes of Research and Development. 5th International Conference on Forest Fire Research, Figuera da Foz, 27-30/11/2006
