  3. The Answer? Join a social club for like minded active retirees!

  4. JOIN PROBUS! PROBUS is an Organization for active retirees and people no longer working full time. The name is taken from PRO in professional and BUS in business. PROBUS is: Not for profit, non fundraising and non sectarian.

  6. PROBUS is a community service program of Rotary clubs & part of the Family of Rotary Rotary District 9500 has: • Over 100 PROBUS Clubs • 6250 members • Many are Active retirees • All enjoying growing older by engaging with their community

  7. PROBUS is truly one of Rotary’s greatest success stories Rotary’s role is: • to be available if required for the PROBUS clubs that they sponsor • to serve the needs of communities by sponsoring new clubs. It is the ONLY program that Rotary does for seniors.

  8. The Opportunity Probus club members may ..... • have children who are prospective Rotarians. • have grandchildren eligible for YEP, RYLA, RYPEN. • be interested in becoming Rotarians themselves.

  9. More Opportunities • Individual PROBUS Club members may wish to assist with projects involving young people ... • Be volunteers with skills – e.g. sewing, art etc. • Take part in a RAWCS Project (active retirees with building/handyman skills). • Or assist with booths for projects – e.g. Bowel Scan, Science and Engineering Challenge. • Mentoring programs for young people.
