  3. The aim of the project… • …is to design a product or service for a population with a capability loss, using an inclusive design.

  4. Over 60’s Who are the users?

  5. User Demographic: 60+ 1980 2012 (WHO, 2012)

  6. User Demographic: 89% (Social payments) 56% €352,18 (single income) Income • € 446,94 (shared income) Chronic illness (CSO, 2012)

  10. Technology & the Age Divide • Negative Attitudes • Feeling too old to learn, too hard • And only 10% use phone for Internet : • -preference for pay as you go • -perceived as complicated and difficult • -nervous using new electronic device (Hargreaves, G. , 2011).
