  1. Magma Demon Magma Demons were popular in the original DFDD for their high EP and stunning abilities, and they carry those with them into DFDD Reloaded. The body of a Magma Demon isn’t very solid, and it makes use of this with both attacks. Lava Bolt launches a piece of the Demon at its target, and Engulf wraps the entire Demon around a target to crush them. The drawback of Magma Demons is that they tend not to use weapons well. It is often better to rely on their physical attacks when you can. Magma Demon 1 reflex 2 hands 50 EP Physical Attacks Lava Bolt: Deals 15 damage.   2. Essential Magma Demon Essential and Ancient Magma Demons reveal something interesting about Magma Demons. Where most Demons tend to get bigger as they upgrade, Magma Demons stay the same size, and instead get more solid as they upgrade. Essential Magma Demons lose the ability to stretch and shoot themselves, but they can tap into the ground beneath them to get extra lava to shoot. Ancient Magma Demons don’t usually shoot lava, but they can re-grow their body with the compressed rock and metal inside them. One of the most surprising moves that Ancient Magma Demons have is the ability to go Blitz, which lets them move too fast for the human eye to track. They usually use this to hit enemies from behind. It is the fastest that any Demon can move. Ancient Magma Demon Essential Magma Demon 8 reflex 2 hands 200 EP 4 reflex 2 hands 90 EP Physical Attacks Blitz Punch: Deals 15 damage. Fighting Pose: If the Ancient Magma Demon has more than 100 EP, this gives it 4 extra hands. If not, this restores 20 of the Ancient Magma Demon’s EP. Physical Attacks Lava Cannon: Deals 25 damage, and the target is Stunned. Chance Cancel: Flip a coin. If heads, heals the Demon for 15 EP. Physical Instability 1 hand 2 reflex Magma Demons might get harder as they upgrade, but there are still times when it’s useful to shoot a piece of the Magma Demon at something. Physical Instability provides the Magma Shot attack, which not only shoots a piece of the Magma Demon at someone, but also has a chance of healing said Magma Demon. Ancient Magma Demons have a Special Attack of their own, which is meant to be used with one Fighting Pose and one Blitz Punch. A strong Ancient Magma Demon will make it easier to win the game, since drawing more cards each turn via Double Gate is a huge advantage. A weak Ancient Magma Demon will make it easier to survive, since Chance Cancel gives you some control over what you draw on your next turn.

These Magma Demons can melt nearby rock and absorb it into themselves, letting them re-grow faster than normal, heal their own injuries, and harden pieces of themselves into rocks that can be thrown at enemies.
