Cohesion policy Update – 27 February 2014 Update on regulations and delegated acts: -Regulations were finalised on 17 December 2013 PAs should be finalised at the latest by August 2014 OPs at the latest by January 2015 - The Code of conduct on the involvement of partners (including cities) should be adopted on 7 March 2014 It will be not retroactive, it won´t have financial implications But the Commission uses it in the negotiations with member states and managing authorities (regions mainly) WG cohesion policy on 19 February 2014: Members met with Commission representatives who are negotiating with managing authorities. They welcomed our paper on the involvement of cities in the programming phase and exchanged with cities present They asked cities to still send them information on this.

  2. Urban development network and innovative actions The UDNwillbecomposed of 2 groups of cities: • The onesthatwillreceivefundingthrougharticle 7 of ERDF (5% of ERDF for sustainableurbandevelopment) • The onesthatwillreceivefunding for ‘innovative actions’, article 8 of ERDF The UDN willonlystartwhenthesecities are all identified. Innovative actions: Budget: € 330 million Around 2 to 5 million per project Call for projectsat the end of 2014: innovative, replicable and sustainableprojects It willbemanaged by an external consultant for the Commission (not the URBACT secretariat).
