  7. Scale • A proportional measurement on a map used to determine distance • 0 500 The relationship between real size and size used on maps and models

  8. EQUATOR • The line of 0 degrees that divides the earth into northern and southern hemispheres

  9. Prime Meridian The line of 0 degrees longitude that passes through Greenwich, England

  10. Altitude Height above sea level
