  2. What is E-safety • E-Saftery stands for electronic safety. Its all about staying safe on your elctronic divices. It is concerned with the protecting of young people in the digital world and ensuring they feel safe when accessing new technology. They protect from unsuitable material and prohibited activities taking place online effecting both adults and children.

  3. Safety on mobiles There are 6 rules to phone safety: • Keep your phone with you all time. If your worried about someone taking it keep it hidden for sight. • Only give your mobile number to your friends and people you trust. • Dont lend you phone to someone you dont know or trust. Or put it in a place where other people cant get hold of it. • Most phones allow you to lock your phone with a pin code. • If someone in preassuring you into giving them your number tell someone about such as a teacher or parent. • If you have bluetooth on your phone make sure you keep it switched of when not using it.

  4. Keeping safe whilst gaming • Online gaming can be fun way of kids to connect with others but it is important for them to understand the risks and know how to handle certain situations. For example, kids should avoid posting pictures of themselves or realeasing personal information to the fellow gamers and know what to do if another users start harrasing them. • Kepp a clean machine: before your kids start playing, be sure your computer has an activated sercurity suite: a firewall, anti-spyware software, and an anti-virus software. • Make passwords long and strong: Be sure your kids have strong passwords for their gaming accounts.

  5. Social networking The risks: • Bullying • Cyber stalking • Access to age inapropriate content • Online grooming and child abuse • People hacking into or hijacking your accoutn or page • Disclosure of private information by either yourself or friends.

  6. Amanda Todd • The story of a teenage girl who commited suicide because of cyberbullying. She was found hung in her home shortly after making a video about what had happened to her. She wanted to make this video to save 1000+ more poeple who suffer from cyberbulying.
