  1. JUNE 2013 DIMENSION OF EXTRAORDINARY GRACE Pastor Ambrose Nyangao

  2. The Story

  3. The story found in the book II Sam 9 is a great illustration of what extraordinary grace is and what it can do. Mephibosheth was a grandson to King Saul and a son to Jonathan. Jonathan and David had entered into covenant with each other and it bound them until death [I Sam 18:2-3]. After the death of King Saul and Jonathan in the battlefield, the entire family of King Saul fled into hiding. One of those who fled was the maid of Mephibosheth. In her haste she dropped Mephibosheth who was injured and in the process was crippled in both feet.

  4. One day King David was seated as he enjoyed his kingship. He asked whether any of the children of Jonathan were still alive so that he may show them kindness for the sake of Jonathan. Mephibosheth was called to the King’s presence. He was so overwhelmed by the invitation. Between fear and unbelief he saw himself so unworthy of the favor that the king was bestowing upon him that he referred to himself as a ‘dead dog’. King David overlooked this and went ahead to decree that all that belonged to Mephibosheth would be secure and that Mephibosheth would sit and eat at his table for the rest of his life.

  5. This is what we call EXTRAORDINARY GRACE.

  6. Christ Jesus the King of kings has called us to His table of grace. This is purely due to the covenant that has been made in the trinity by the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. We are called into THIS GRACE. Not only should you enjoy this grace but you should take advantage of what this grace offers and opens to us in the NOW. Do not wait to go to heaven to enjoy this grace. Listen to what Apostle Paul says concerning THIS GRACE.

  7. “We have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have GAINED ACCESS by faith into THIS GRACE in which we now stand.” Rom 5:2-3 NIV “We urge you not to receive GOD’S GRACE in vain. For He says, ‘In the time of MY FAVOR I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.’” II Cor 6:1-2 NIV

  8. The Word

  9. John 1:16-17—from the fullness of HIS GRACE, we have all received one blessing after another. The law was given through Moses; GRACE and truth came through Jesus Christ • Rom 5:15—Much more will the GRACE OF GOD that came through Jesus Christ overflow to many • Rom 5:17—Much more will those who receive [take hold of] God’s ABUNDANT PROVISION OF GRACE…reign in life through Jesus Christ • Eph 2:6-8—For by GRACE you have been saved through faith…and this is not your own doing…it is the gift of God! • Acts 15:11—We believe that it is through the GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ that we are saved

  10. II Cor 12:9—My GRACE IS SUFFICIENT FOR YOU, for my power is made perfect in weakness • Rom 6:14—for sin shall not be your master, for you are not under the law, but under GRACE • I Cor 15:10—But by the GRACE of God, I am what I am • II Cor 9:8—And God is able to make ALL GRACE abound towards you, so that in ALL THINGS at ALL TIMES, having ALL that you NEED, you will abound in EVERY good work • Eph 1:7-8—In Him we have redemption, in accordance with the RICHES OF GOD’S GRACE that He lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding

  11. The Declarations

  12. We decree and declare that the grace our Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit is with us now and forever more. We are safe in this grace and the abundance of salvation is ours in the name of Jesus Christ • We decree and declare that in Christ we have been made worthy of the calling that is in His grace. By this grace we are made to sit in the heavenly places through the Lord Jesus Christ. We dine with the King of kings and the Lord of lords

  13. We decree and declare that we have taken hold of the abundant provision of God’s grace. Through this grace and the gift of righteousness, we REIGN IN LIFE. We are not defeated as we were when we lived under the law. We are now more than conquerors in Jesus name • We decree and declare that God placed us IN CHRIST by His grace before time began. This grace has now been revealed to us in Christ and by faith we have access into this grace in which we NOW stand. Thank God for the unsearchable riches of God’s grace

  14. We decree and declare that we are strong in the grace of our Lord. We live lives that are honorable to the Lord. We are at rest in the finished work of Christ. We do not work hard to please God. We walk in fellowship with Him and let the WORD work in and through us His purposes of grace • We decree and declare that we are eternally secure in the grace of God. We do not sin just because we are in grace. Grace has given us the ability to say ‘no’ to ungodliness and ‘yes’ to righteousness. We indeed are experiencing the dimension of EXTRAORDINARY GRACE

  15. The Reflections

  16. The grace of God is the realm of the unsearchable riches and abundant provision for all that we need in life. We have saving grace, healing grace, breakthrough grace, answered-prayer grace, open-door grace, victorious grace. This grace touches all the areas of our lives. God’s grace is sufficient The grace of God is not against the law of God. The law is good for correction. Grace is good for qualification. We have been qualified to be in the Kingdom of God by the grace of God. The law condemns us. Grace liberates us and gives us the gift of righteousness that makes us acceptable before the Living God

  17. The grace of God is God’s excuse to allow us to sit at His table of blessing. We must take a hold of this grace and experience the fullness of God daily. God has done His part. We must do our part of taking hold of this grace. We must approach the THRONE OF GRACE boldly that we may obtain mercy and FIND GRACE to help us in our time of need The grace of God is a reservoir of God’s provision for us. God has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus. We must by faith take a hold of our portion of grace daily. You can never be broke when living in grace.

  18. The grace of God gives us the authority and the ability to reign in life through Christ. We have God’s sufficient grace. This grace is God’s power that is made manifest through our weakness. We should no longer plead with God to remove the thorns that the devil has placed in our lives. God’s sufficient grace gives us the mandate and the power to remove these thorns and to be overcomers, thus reigning in life and bringing the Kingdom of God glory. Arise and shine for your light has come!

  19. The Prayer

  20. Heavenly Father, thank you, for the extraordinary grace that is ours in the Lord Jesus Christ. We have been saved and made to sit in the heavenly places through Christ Jesus by this grace. Help us to understand and to grasp this awesome gift that is ours today. Help us to walk in this revelation and to enjoy that which is ours in Christ. Thank you for giving us sufficient grace. We can come boldly to the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help us in time of need. We are more than favored in Him today.

  21. Amen!
