  3. SMS: Search • See a suspicious car • Use a cell ph to send an SMS to 34665 with the license plate • Find out if the car is: • Stolen • Wanted • Registered • Not listed • Allowed Entry, ETC. • (Costs R2 per SMS)

  4. How To Add a vehicle to the database • SMS the license plate to 34665 • FOR EXAMPLE: • Licence Query ND 12345 • Licence Stolen ND 12345 • Licence Hijack ND 12345 • Licence Monitor ND 12345 • Licence Stop ND12345 • (Costs R2 per SMS)

RESULTS 3 DAY N3 TEST (ASD SITES): Vehicles tested : 63 955 Vehicles possibly stolen : 2 094 Usual caveats apply e.g. number plates may have been re-issued where the previous vehicle which had the registration was (and still is) stolen etc. Please treat this information as confidential and do not disclose to anyone except for the law enforcement agencies involved i.e. SAPS, RTRI, Metro. Please do not make this info available to recovery agents, businesses etc. We need to ensure that we do not breach our contract with the SAPS in this regard.

RESULTS FROM 1 DAY ROADBLOCK ON N2 (CT): Vehicles Processed : 16 914 Vehicles Possibly Stolen : 390 Usual caveats apply e.g. number plates may have been re-issued where the previous vehicle which had the registration was (and still is) stolen etc. Please treat this information as confidential and do not disclose to anyone except for the law enforcement agencies involved i.e. SAPS, RTRI, Metro.
