Objectives Of Registration • Sender will get a receipt • Sender will get acknowledgement duly signed by addressee if paid for acknowledgement • Ensures more security during transmission • Delivered to the addressee under acquittance • Unique Barcodes used for booking/Bags • Track and trace facility is available • Record is kept at all offices handling Register articles • Complaint can be lodged by sender in case of non delivery or non receipt of acknowledgement • In case of loss, department pays compensation up to a maximum of Rs. 100/-

Articles presented for booking • Weight within prescribed limits • Size as per condition of concerned mail • Properly packed. • Name and complete address of addressee and sender along with pin code. • Acknowledgement is properly filled in and stitched to the article • Postage paid (Fully paid, partially paid, not paid) – Option available in Point of sale to collect cash
