    3. Intentionality Planning Process – Step One Identify the School Leadership Team Identify the stakeholder group each team member represents Appoint/elect a recorder Appoint/elect component/subcommittee chairs for SIP Set Code of Conduct or “Rules to Play By”

Intentionality Planning Process – Step 2 Leadership Team reviews and discusses the 2007-2014 Strategic Plan Objectives 100% of Public Schools students will graduate. 100% of students exceed established academic standards. All students are responsible participating citizens of the global community. Each student excels in the life path of his/her choice. Use all available data – Academic and Non-Academic

    5. Intentionality Planning Process – Step 3 School Wide Goal Setting Plan The Goal Setting Conference includes all stakeholders. To achieve input from all stakeholders you may use this tactic: Leadership Team discusses and response to the five (5) questions with a Recorder taking notes.

Intentionality Planning Process – Step 3 continued The School Wide Goal Setting addresses the following issues: What specific measure will we as a school use to assess incoming students entry levels for reading and math. What is our plan for measuring student’s progress toward standards and academic achievement throughout the year? How will we know where each student is at any given time on any standard with each subject area? How will we record and report the status of academic achievement to parents and students?

Intentionality Planning Process – Step 3 continued What accommodations do we envision that we will need to make to support students with disabilities (SWD) and our English Language Learners (ELL) in their efforts to meet standards? How will we present and reinforce thinking skills? How will Core Teams work with defined school wide rubrics in interdisciplinary curriculum planning?

    8. Intentionality Planning Process – Step 4 Leadership Team involves the stakeholders by sharing information and gathering additional input.

    9. Intentionality Planning Process – Step 5 Leadership Team reconvenes and reviews stakeholder input and a two-page document answering the five (5) questions is prepared. For Question 2 utilize the “Monitoring Process”

Intentionality Planning Process – Monitoring Progress Student Assessment Team (SAT) The SAT meetings are to take place consistently during the common planning periods and they are mandatory for everyone! This process cannot be watered down or scaled down to something that happens before school or during lunch. It is a must and support staff must be present when necessary. SAT Meetings are to be a part of you doing your job! The 2nd most important part of your job under “Intentionality” is to Re-teach that which students did not get the first time through. This might include teachers exchanging students to assure standards attainment. The most important thing to remember is that you use the available data on students and teach to standards - we will all arrive.

    11. Intentionality Planning Process – Step 6 Leadership Team completes the “School Improvement Plan” (SIP) template. There is at least one goal sheet for each of the three areas (academics, safety & security, and school climate) with as many action steps as are needed.

Intentionality Planning Process School Improvement Plan (School Transformation Plan) Develop collaboratively with school community Align with District Strategic Plan Data Driven SIP embedded Define long-term goals for school success Monitored by Area Administrator and Chief Academic Officer

    13. Intentionality Planning Process – Step 7 Grades or departments meet and complete the “Department/Grade Level Growth Plan” – one for each goal (academics, safety & security, and climate) to mirror the goals written for the School Improvement Plan (SIP).

    14. Intentionality Planning Process Department/Grade Level Growth Plan Develop with members of department or grade level. Align with School Transformation Plan Define annual goals to address areas of strength and need. Accounts for student success Data Driven Monitored by Principal

    15. Intentionality Planning Process – Step 8 Teachers complete the “Differentiated Instruction Classroom Plan” for his/her classroom – one for each goal (academic, safety & security, and climate) to align with the school (SIP) and grade level/department growth plan.

    16. Intentionality Planning Process Classroom Differentiated Instruction Plan Addresses classroom instructional needs as identified in data sources. Align with Department/Grade Level Plan Account for student success Data Drive Monitored by Principal

    17. Intentionality Planning Process – Step 9 Personalized Learning Plans are written for each student.

    18. Intentionality Planning Process Personalized Learning Plan Develop a partnership with parent/guardian Include progress of each content area Describes intervention strategies Identify five supporting adults Monitored by teacher

    19. Intentionality Planning Process Monitoring Success Teachers will submit a monthly review to demonstrate evidence of learning in their classroom. Principals will collect monthly reviews from teachers and aggregate to create a school monthly review. Area Administor will collect school monthly reviews, assess improvements, and address shortfall with principal. Chief Academic Officer will review school monthly reviews with Area Administrator. Administration will utilize data collected through review process to monitor District Strategic Plan.

    20. Intentionality Planning Process To ensure success our goals need to be “SMART GOALS” Specific, strategic Measurable Attainable Results-oriented Time-Bound

    21. Intentionality Planning Process SPECIFIC WHO: Who is involved? WHAT: What do I want to accomplish? WHERE: Identify a location WHEN: Establish a time frame WHICH: Identify requirements and constraints WHY: Specific reasons, purpose, or benefits in accomplishing the goal.

    22. Intentionality Planning Process MEASURABLE How much? How will I know when it is accomplished? Benchmarks? Milestones?

    23. Intentionality Planning Process ATTAINABLE Doable Steps Attitudes Abilities, Skills Financial Capabilities

    24. Intentionality Planning Process REALISTIC Willing and able to work Exceed your reach, not grasp Labor of Care Belief in self and mission Conditions to accomplish goal

    25. Intentionality Planning Process TANGIBLE Can experience with senses Can imagine vividly Specific action steps
