NGA Early Learning Policy Academy • Working with CT, HI, IL, MA, NV, PA through Fall 2014 • Each state’s leadership team consists of at least 1: • Governor’s policy advisor • ECE state policy leader • K-12 state policy leader • Some state teams also include: • Higher education • Advocacy organization

NGA Early Learning Policy Academy • B-3rd Learning Standards • Incorporating social-emo, executive function, approaches to learning, etc. to B-3rd standards • B-3rd Human Capital Issues • B-3rd professional competencies • PreK-3rd teacher evaluation • ECE & K-3 teacher training • K-12 leaders’ capacity to support early learning • B-3rd Assessments • Formative assessments in ECE and K-3 • Capacity to implement/develop B-3rd assessment system
