  4. Types of Complaint Harassment\Intimidation Vandalism\Damage to Property General Misbehaviour of Youths Name of complainant never revealed Anonymous complaints are taken and investigated

  5. Dealing with Complaints Housing Inspector investigates Interviews held by Estate Management office staff Liaison with Gardai Verbal & written warnings Tenancy support through Tenancy Sustainment & Housing Welfare staff Excluding orders Notice to Quits\ re – possessions Mediation also offered

  6. Tenancy Sustainment A confidential support service to existing tenancies that may be at risk. Support is also provided to tenants experiencing Anti Social Behaviour

  7. Tenancy Sustainment Rent arrears Anti Social Behaviour History of homelessness Mental health difficulties Physical health difficulties & disabilities History of addiction Not maintaining the dwelling

Multi Agency Approach to reducing Anti Social Behaviour through Liaison with Public Representatives at Area Committee County Council meeting level, daily representations Continued liaison with resident groups Liaison with the Gardai Blanchardstown Housing Forum Community Policing Fora Joint Policing Committee BLDTF and North Dublin Regional Drugs Task Force Multi Agency case conferences around problematic tenancies

Community Development Community Development is the process through which citizens participate in identifying and implementing solutions to overcome shared challenges and improve the quality of life for all. It is an approach to achieve social change, based on the understanding that disadvantage and social injustice cannot be tackled by top-down solutions alone. It challenges disadvantage and social inequalities.

  17. On average 40 Fingal Residents associations are supported by Fingal’s Community Development Officers annually. Advise & Support Community Efforts

  20. Key Facts.. Did you know? 84 community groups benefit from membership of Fingal Networks in the Disability, Ethnic and Heritage sectors Did you know? Approximately 100 people attended Meeting and Committee Skills training over the past 2 years Did you know? On average 40 Fingal resident associations are supported by the Community Development Office each year Did you know? Fingal Community Development Office provide intensive supports to 26 Fingal Community facilities each year Did you know? The Fingal Community Development Office can help your group set up a project Did you know? Fingal County Council has invested €16 Million in the development and construction of 16 facilities/amenities On average up to 56,000 people use a standard Fingal County Council Community Centre per annum Did you know? The last 2 years have seen the completion and opening of seven new shared facilities

Sport Programmes • Sports Development Staff have worked with several drugs awareness and education programmes including : • Stay on side “Say no to drugs” a Sporting Fingal initiative • Late Night Soccer in support of the Garda Diversionary Programme • Our FAI, Cricket and Leinster Rugby partners promote health and wellbeing through the Fingal Schools Sports Programme • Fingal County Council Sports Development Officers and our Sports Partners have worked directly with the following to deliver sports training programmes • Coolmine Therapeutic Centre • Tolka River Project

  22. The Mulhuddart Priority Task GroupA Community Response . The Membership of the MPTG comprises Community and Statutory Agencies such as an Garda Siochána, Blanchardstown Area Partnership, NABCO, Respond and HAIL, LifeStart, Community Drugs and Alcohol Teams, Foroige, the HSE, Local Residents Associations and the Blanchardstown Institute of Technology
