Client Visits • Visits made in at least 27 counties: (Madison, Limestone, Morgan, Lauderdale, Colbert, Lawrence, Tuscaloosa, Blount, Mobile, Escambia, Baldwin, Chilton, Shelby, Jefferson, Fayette, Lamar, Greene, Hale, Dallas, Perry, Pickens, Bibb, DeKalb, Cherokee, Blount, St. Clair, Marshall) • At least 472 contacts as a result of client visits in the above list

After Katrina • Cooperation between personnel from ACES and AAES housed in Mobile, AL • Determine local needs and assist with coordination of help • Develop accurate report of industry losses • Inform of disaster relief programs • Facilitated two public meetings to bring together nursery industry, relief agencies and government representatives

  19. 2005 Bedding Plant Trial Garden Field Days • Held at North Alabama Horticultural Substation and Chilton RREC • Trials demonstrate overall landscape performance of new and standard summer-flowering bedding plant cultivars • Cullman field day: attended by 150, growers, master gardeners, and allied industry representatives • Chilton RREC field day: attended by Over 1000 persons
