  3. The urgency of YES-VN • Vietnam has young labor force • Underdeveloped labor market information system • Mis-oriented career-choosers → • 23.8% of graduates unemployed • 24% of graduates unfittedly employed

  4. The uniqueness of YES-VN • We are the first youth-led organization to: • Target the 11th and 12th grades • Provide them with guide and counseling in career-choosing • Motivate them to take an initiative in their working life

  5. The unity in our missions ... • Develop strategies that give young people a real chance to find decent work. • Increase the ability of youth to participate actively in the development of our society. • Create a renewing employment and business opportunities through youth employment.

  7. Our 1st project – Career Guide Center (CGC) • Introduction • Activities • Realization • Promising outcome

  8. CGC - Introduction • High-schoolers find it hard to choose their future career • Career orientation is not adequate → We are the 1st to make career counseling accessible

  9. CGC - Activities • Career talks: • Survey the needs and interests of high school students. • Invite career counselors, university professors and experts to give talks on requested issues

  10. CGC - Activities • Other activities: • Career guide center building will be located at … → personal counseling • Having mailboxes at schools visited • Distributing free information on career orientation • Expanding network through media (if possible)

CGC - Realization • Visiting major high schools first • Scheduling many career talks at one school in a few months, then continuing at other schools (or scheduling the same talk at all schools in one month and then other talks in successive months) (the suitable time: from September to mid-November and mid-January to late-March)
