Lara1 • Veterans Memorial Medical Center, Quezon City, PHILIPPINES • Cardinal Santos Medical Center, San Juan City, PHILIPPINES bhambi_gesite@yahoo.com INTRODUCTION OBJECTIVE RESULTS • Optic disc evaluation is crucial in glaucoma diagnosis and management. The DDLS is a disc grading system that includes ten optic disc appearances and incorporates disc size and rim width evaluation.1 To determine and compare the inter-observer and intra-observer agreement using the DDLS and the vertical cup-to-disc ratio (VCD) as tools to evaluate the optic disc. Disc Damage Likelihood Scale METHODS CONCLUSIONS Observational case series of 41 eyes of 24 patients diagnosed to have primary open angle glaucoma and no glaucoma (controls). A masked 1st yr and a 3rd year ophthalmology resident graded optic discs in vivo using a 90D fundus lens using both the VCD ratio and the DDLS method in 3 different sessions. Percentages and the kappa statistic were utilized to determine agreement. Utilizing the DDLS revealed consistently higher inter-observer agreement compared to utilizing the VCD ratio in optic disc evaluation.
