  2. Biotic Components • Flora: Bromeliads, Epiphytes, Saprophytes, Buttress Roots, Lianas, Stilt/prop roots, Carnivorous Roots, Orchids, Strangler Fig • Fauna: Gorilla, Boa, Frog Toucan, parrot, Spider Monkey, Jaguar, Anaconda, Piranha, Lemur, Lar Gibbon

  3. The yellow highlights represent land masses with major rainforests.

  4. Terrain • Most rainforests are located approximately 150-250 meters above sea level on hilly terrain, with a plateaus at the top. • It is typically home to clear rivers and stream that cuts through the forest.

  5. Climate • The rainforest gets about 250cm of rainfall per year. • The weather is usually humid at 77 degrees Fahrenheit
