  3. Partner Share • Think about how the adventurers faced the unfathomable depths of Earth. What are some places you’ve seen that were unfathomable? • Under the sea, strange creatures coexist-not always peacefully. Which animals coexist in an ocean? Which coexist on land? How are some ways that people can learn to coexist with each toher?

  4. Amazing Words • Roam- to wander • Where do wild animals roam today? • Excavate- to dig, usually for a purpose • The workers started to excavate a tunnel for a new subway. • Teach your partner these words.

  5. Vocabulary • Armor- protective coverings • The knight was ready for battle under his shiny armor. • Encases- encloses • The rock encases the minerals. • Teach your partner these words.

  6. Vocabulary • Extinct- no longer existing • The dodo bird is extinct. • Hideous-ugly • A bat has a really hideous face. • Teach your partner these words.

  7. Vocabulary • Plunged-moved downward • The bird plunged into the cold water. • Serpent- snake • She saw a serpent coiled up in the tree. • Teach your partner these words.

  8. Adjectives • (Y/N) One dinosaur was more stronger than the other. • (Y/N) The dog was the most aggressive dog in the park. • (Y/N) Hank is taller than his brother. • (Y/N) Sally is the most quickest runner.
