EUSkills and Acua Project Management Certificate in Professional Development A Project Management Certificate of Professional Development has been developed in partnership the Energy and Utilities Sector Skills Council. The programme of 2 X 20 Credit point Higher Education modules offers individual’s learners the opportunity to develop their workplace project management skills and knowledge. Achievement of these two modules creates a progression route to a range of Leadership, foundation and Honours degree programmes through Coventry University. Module 1- Certificate of Professional Development Managing Projects (20 Credit points at Level 5) Aims and Summary This module builds on the learners skills in a range of key concepts and techniques that will assist in the ability to manage projects at work. Develop individuals understanding of the concept of change management processes within a business context. Covering complex concepts of project management practices and change management theories and models. Module 2- Certificate of Professional Development Leading Projects (20 Credit points at level 4) Aims and Summary This module develops the learner’s skills in a range of key concepts and techniques in Leadership and Management that will assist in the ability to lead on projects at work. The module covers concepts of self assessment of capability, financial awareness, resource management, and factors impacting on the success of projects.

Construction and the Built Environment Communication and Leadership Programme • Through our work with the Construction and Built Environment Sector, from Housing through Energy and Utilities to traditional Construction Management. Acua consistently receive requests for support for the development Communication and Leadership skills and knowledge. • This Communication and Leadership programme uses a 20 Credit Point H.E level 4 Managing Personal Performance module focuses on three key areas:- • Develop effective leadership styles • Managing time more effectively • Communicate effectively, including conducting effective meetings • Programme Learning Outcomes - Managing Personal Performance • Identify the importance of disseminating knowledge in organisational development • Apply analysis to the components of individual leadership capability in the workplace • Demonstrate how they would disseminate their own knowledge to colleagues to ensure effective knowledge and information transfer • Select from a variety of communication methods to support the dissemination and demonstration of improved capability • Learners undertaking this 20 Credit module Managing Personal Performance gain certification at Higher Education level 4

Diversity Inclusion & Equality development programme for empa contractors • This course enables the delegates to understand their own and their organisation’s responsibilities to Diversity, Inclusion and Equality within the workplace. • Delegates will consider the impact of their own communication and behaviour on others by using relevant tools and techniques. • Learning Outcome s • Identify personal and organisational responsibilities contained within Diversity, Inclusion and Equality legislation. • Discuss ways to embed Diversity, Inclusion and Equality into the organisation’s culture. • This Equality CPD programme has been designed at requested of  the empa National Skills Academy for Construction, Starting with a one day of awareness raising as detailed above. • Delegates will be given the option of undertaking a further day and half of delivered learning, covering two further learning outcome's. • Explain how effective communication and behaviours within an organisation can enhance Diversity, Inclusion and Equality. • Assess the impact of differing values, attitudes and behaviours relating to Diversity, Inclusion and Equality on individuals • Delegates are required to undertake further reading and self directed learning in order to complete an assessment and obtain the full 20 credit Higher Education Module at level 5 through Acua (Coventry University).
