  2. Description The prairie is a temperate grassland it has very few trees ,but lots of grass because it has the richest soil. Also it has many organisms.

  3. Animals Here are some animals in the prairie: Badger, Black footed ferret, Bison, Coyote, Deer, Black tailed jack rabbit, Bumble bee, Burrowing owl, Condor, Carrian, Bettle, Dragonfly, Eagles, Eastern cotton tail, Prairie dog, Prairie Chicken, Water fowl, Mouse and many more animals.

  4. Plants Here are some of the plants: Purple cone flower, Milkweed, Stinging nettle plant, Poison ivy, Maple tree, Grass, Big blue stem, Blazing stars, Tall grass, Porcupine Grass, Kentucky blue Grass, Grama grass, Wheat, Sun flower and Clovers.

  5. Food Chain 1.Grass Cricket Mouse Snake Eagle 2.Sun Flowers Rabbit Coyote 3.Wheat Mouse Owl Predator (Eagle) Prey (Mouse)

  6. Locations The prairie is located all over the world and every continent . Most prairies are in Asia and North America . Except Antartica.

  7. Weather The prairie is a temperate grassland . During the winters its cold, and during the summers its cold.(More than 100F) The yearly average of rain is about 20 or 30 in.(It rains in late spring and early summer . There are also cyclones in the prairie.

  8. Interesting Facts • Famous for beautiful flowers • One quarter of the Earth are prairies • It is helpful for the grass to burn because it helps get rid of too many weeds
