  3. Career Programs • Co-ops- Business, Outdoor Education • Apprenticeships- Welding, Electrician, Chef training, Hairdressing, Plumbing and others

  4. Grad Transition Plan The GTP prepares students for a successful transition to life after secondary school and is a graduation requirement

  5. Grad Transition Plan The GTP consists of 3 parts: Grade 10- Community Connections/ Personal Health/Career and Life Grade 11- Career Exploration Grade 12- Finish Career and Life Presentation and Portfolio

  6. Community Connections2 Sections to Complete in grade 10: • 30 hours of work experience and/or community service • Community Connections reflection If you do not have a job, volunteer opportunities can be found on the Volunteering board in the Career Resource Centre. Please see the Career Centre website or office for more details. Volunteering can also be done in Athletics with Athletic Directors Mrs. Hazzard or Mr. Bains. To volunteer with student council events see Mr. Whitford.

  7. Personal Health2 Sections to Complete in Grade 10: • Physical Activity Log/Calendar-all students should be participating in at least 2.5 hours (150 minutes) of physical activity per week from grade 10-12. • Healthy Living Reflection

  8. Career and Life2 Sections to Complete in Grade 10: • Career Cruising • Resume • Cover Letter

  9. Education Exploration1 Section to Complete in Grade 11: • Education Planner • Signatures

  10. Career and Life7 Sections to Complete in Grade 12: • Career Research • Updated Cover Letter • Updated Resume • Financial Plan • Completed application to Post-secondary Institution • Attributes of a BC Graduate Reflection • Graduation Transitions Presentation

  11. GTP Presentation • You must prepare a presentation 10 minutes in length. • Prepare to talk about yourself, your future plans and reflect on how you have personally grown throughout the past five years • Bring or create some presentation materials to assist you to sharing accomplishments. • Choose 3 experiences or accomplishments you have achieved, and discuss how they have prepared you for the future. In addition, you must have at least 3 pieces of evidence to share and talk about.

  12. Scholarships and Bursaries Scholarships based on academics, athletics and volunteer activities. Bursaries based on financial need.
