  1. How many language options are available How many language options are available in GIIS Tokyo to students in GIIS Tokyo to students? ? The school you choose impacts your child’s life to a massive extent. The best schools provide training and a solid foundation that will prepare your child, not just for college but for life. If you are thinking about sending your child to GIIS Tokyo, one of the things that you might be wondering about is the school’s language options. GIIS Tokyo or Global Indian International School, is an IB school in Tokyo and the campus is located in the south of the busy, metropolitan city of Tokyo and operates under the Global Schools Foundation network. The school offers the Indian CBSE curriculum, as well as international curricula by Cambridge IGCSE and International Baccalaureate. What is the medium of instruction? At the school, the teaching staff uses English as the primary medium of instruction. However, GIIS campuses have a reputation for offering a ‘three language programme.’ That means sending your child to the school will allow him or her to choose among four languages such as French, Tamil, Hindi, and Japanese for a second language. Students who wish to learn a third language are also offered two options: French and Japanese. How are the lessons taught? Classrooms in the international school in Tokyo campus are equipped with SmartBoards. However, given the shift to online classrooms, the school has ensured that its teachers use a

  2. range of multimedia e-learning technology and tools to impart their lessons. Teachers work hard to acquire proficiency in using teaching materials and tools as they transition to online schooling. Given their experience and expertise, the teachers make it possible for the students to experience learning in a way that’s engaging, involved, and uplifting. How big are the classes? If you are enrolling your child in nursery, then expect about twenty students in the class. For K1 and K2 levels, though, classes can admit as much as 25 students. Both of these classes, though, employ a full-time teacher along with the assistance of a part-time assistant teacher. That means the students don’t lack attention. Both the teacher and part-time teacher are available to devote time and attention to every child in class. Classes 1 onwards, though, can have as many as 28 kids in the class. If you are worried about your child taking on too many lessons to the point that s/he might drown in the sea of assignments, tasks, projects, and everything else with little to no help from the teacher, you won’t have to worry. The teaching staff is available and is more than capable of looking after your child’s needs in class. What else do you need to know? Allowing your child to learn a second and a third language sets him or her up for the future. It will not only improve the student’s academic prospects, it also gives the child a definite advantage in college, or even in career opportunities later in life. Many companies seek out language assets. Your child can enjoy a wonderful career, as well as improved critical skills since learning another language contributes to brain development.
