Qatar’s victorious success to host the World Cup in 2022 for the first time in the Middle East has generated positive global attention to the state and its vision to set a leading example in organizing this massive sport event with minimum impacts on the environment. Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup will be the first carbon-neutral World Cup, utilizing sustainable technologies and high- end cooling systems for its twelve state- of-the-art stadiums, fan zones and training grounds. The event is a catalyst for the development and the expansion of the economy and population overall.
Qatar’s green plan for 2022:
Qatar is touting its eco-friendly design for a new football stadium as a key component of the country's 2022 World Cup bid. In designs released by architects Foster + Partners, the building certainly looks cool and has a lot of the right qualifications -- energy efficient, close to transit, partially solar-powered.
This video will explain the whole environmental stadiums:
The video shows all the great stadiums that will hopefully be made by 2022.
These projects will all be environmentally friendly and solar-powered so I really think Qatar is doing a really good job trying to keep the environment while making sure everyone is comfortable with the weather and enjoying everything at the same time. The second system is a solar-thermal one that will use heat from the sun to generate heated water. This heated water will be channeled to tanks for immediate use or be stored for use during evening matches. It will also be channeled into an absorption chiller in which it will be chilled and stored.
In the end, I am sure that Qatar will be able to have everything ready in time for the World Cup and will hopefully be a great success and will be considered an advertisement to Qatar so that more people can come for 2022 and see all the new stuff they will have accomplished by then.
