  5. Preparing for PSLE Science • Revise P3,4,5 work which forms most of PSLE Qns (concepts in the textbook, notes) • Review questions in revision papers and worksheets • PSLE Booklet will be used to practise standard items

  13. MCQ Don’t rush through (32 out of 70 marks) Go through ALL options – even if you have an answer in mind as some answers are very close Use elimination to narrow down to possible answers

  14. Structured Questions Matching, Fill-in-the Blanks Use words given in the word list

Open-Ended Questions • Read questions (highlight important points) • Recognise instructions in question stem e.g. identify, list, explain, explain how • Use scientific terms • e.g. “attracted” vs “stick” or “attach” magnetic objects to magnets • Look out for and use “clues” given: • Information given in diagrams, graphs, tables • Part (a) of some questions leads to part (b) • Marks given for each question • Make sure your answer has science concepts in it
