  3. Example Eligible Projects - STP • Roadway widening • Roadway reconstruction, realignment • New route • Signalization • Access management • Safety improvements • Transit capital • Bicycle/pedestrian transportation projects

  4. Example Eligible Projects - TA • Safe Routes for non drivers, schools • Conversion and use of abandoned railroad corridors for trails for pedestrians and bicyclists • Turnouts, overlooks and viewing areas • Preservation and rehabilitation of historic transportation facilities

Example Eligible Projects - CMAQ • Traffic signal coordination/optimization • Addition of intersection turn lanes • Transit vehicle replacement • New transit service and transit facilities • Ozone reduction programs • Rideshare program • Alternative fuel/diesel retrofit Note: CMAQ funds are not sub-allocated to OKI in OH & KY

Example Eligible Projects - HSIP • An intersection safety improvement • Installation of rumble strips • Installation of a skid-resistant surface • An improvement for pedestrian or bicyclist safety or safety of the disabled • Elimination of hazards at a railway-highway crossing • Construction of a traffic calming feature • Elimination of a roadside obstacle • Improvement of highway signage and pavement markings • Installation of a priority control system for emergency vehicles at signalized intersections • Installation of a traffic control or other warning device at a location with high accident potential • Improvement in the collection and analysis of crash data • Work zone safety improvements • Installation of guardrails
