  4. Who 4 “You shall not make for yourself an idol, or any likeness of what is in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the water under the earth.  Ex. 20:4

  5. Who 5 You shall not worship them or serve them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, on the third and the fourth generations of those who hate Me,   Ex. 20:5

  8. When & Why? 8“Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work,   Ex. 20:8-9

  9. When & Why? 10 but the seventh day is a sabbath of the Lord your God; in it you shall not do any work, you or your son or your daughter, your male or your female servant or your cattle or your sojourner who stays with you.    Ex. 20:10

  10. When & Why? 11For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day; therefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day and made it holy.  Ex. 20:11

  11. When & Why? We worship the God of the Bible because He commands it.

  12. When & Why? • Resurrection – Sunday Now after the Sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to look at the grave. Matt. 28:1

  13. When & Why? • Early Church Met on Sundays 7 On the first day of the week, when we were gathered together to break bread, Paul began talking to them, intending to leave the next day, and he prolonged his message until midnight. Acts 20:7

  14. When & Why? • Sunday Worship Universal Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I directed the churches of Galatia, so do you also. On the first day of the week… I Cor. 16:1-2

  15. When & Why? • Sunday Worship Commanded 24 and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds,  Heb. 10:24

  30. What God Wants From the Outside of His Worshippers. • Praise & Thanksgiving • Remembrance/Witness 25 In the same way He took the cup also after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood; do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.” 26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes.
