  1. What Happens After You Win a GunBroker.com Auction?

  2. What Happens After You Win a GunBroker.com Auction? Winning an auction or buying an item on GunBroker.com is only the first step in the process of having your item sent your way. After searching through user listings and finding cheap guns that you want, and getting the winning bid, you have to contact the seller, supply payment information, provide FFL information, and then wait for the item to ship. Here are all the steps you need to take to add that new firearm to your collection. You Receive an Email First, once you have the winning bid on that Ruger Vaquero you had your eye on, GunBroker.com will send you an email at the end of the auction. This contains the seller’s username and email address. It will also show the amount of your winning bid. If you have not received an email but think you won the auction, you will need to contact the GunBroker.com help center. You Have Five Days to Contact the Seller After receiving the email, you have five days to contact the seller at the provided email. The seller must also contact you within the same time frame. The seller will provide details on how you need to pay and ask for your shipping address. You will need to follow the seller’s instructions carefully, whether it is credit cards, personal checks, or another payment method. When sending the payment, make sure you include your name, address, phone number, email address, item number, and the firearm that you won from the user listing on GunBroker.com. If you win an auction for a firearm, like the Judge pistol, you will also need to provide FFL information.

  3. Immediate Checkout vs. Standard Checkout Some sellers will allow for the immediate checkout process, which is an integrated credit card system. This makes it very easy to pay for your item. It also allows you to check the order status, print an invoice, and track shipping. The standard checkout process, however, is to receive information from the seller on how to pay. You will have a chance to review the costs associated with winning the auction, such as taxes and shipping. You will need to follow the seller’s instructions. Transfer Your FFL’s Information Next, you will need to transfer your federal firearms licensee’s information. You can enter your FFL’s license number and save it as a default FFL for all your future GunBroker.com transactions. You can also search the FFL network and choose a local FFL. You will need to let them know you are using them to transfer your firearm prior to the firearm shipping. You can also set a different FFL for each purchase, should your normal FFL not be available.
