  1. Service Wing Healthcare Value Proposition Better Outcomes at a Reduced Cost The Problem: Current healthcare data resides in multiple technology data silos and true inoperability is nonexistent. Valuable medical data is being captured within a hospital or clinic’s powerful network of systems and absent of data integration amongst these systems, the data languishes in inefficient silos resulting in ineffective, costly, diminished patient care. The healthcare industry provider payment practices are being revolutionized. Demands are being placed on healthcare providers to share the financial risk on an outcome basis. The long standing pay for procedure reimbursement practice is over. Healthcare providers need to take a more proactive role in the patient outcome or be financially penalized. Our Company: Service Wing Healthcare (SWH) transforms valuable healthcare data that is languishing in incompatible systems, into actionable medical intelligence that helps healthcare providers make better informed decisions resulting in reduced costs and superior outcomes.

  2. Our Product: Our informatics platform consolidates and formulates disparate health data residing within a healthcare enterprise into beneficial medical intelligence. In real time, health data is processed through our customized business rules engine, whereby a new data alert is created and reported to an existing system to be acted upon. By alerting Healthcare providers with critical information at the precise time it’s needed, just-in-time care intervention can be administered, resulting in avoidable costly clinical errors and improved patient care.

  3. Our Advantage: Unlike standalone telehealth devices and other healthcare integration solutions which require costly development and the training of staff on new protocols, our product integrates with existing legacy systems (Siemens, Epic, Cerner etc.) reducing the cost of deployment and eliminating the need to re-train staff. By integrating into the current clinical and operational workflow, we have a low cost of ownership and minimize the amount of change management and disruption to the established patient care protocol. Solid (best in class) integration tools enabling real-time connectivity and interaction with virtually any enterprise and legacy systems. A robust business rule exchange engine that allows information collection from multiple sources, immediate organization of the data through highly customizable formats and subsequently results in action triggers to the applicable system, providing data liquidity throughout the entire healthcare ecosystem. Architected to an enterprise standard, our product was precisely designed to handle high volume data transactions, multiple data requests and simultaneous data treads. When the current system does not have the ability to generate data and interact with a patient or clinician, Service Wing provides a highly secured Internet Rich Application that can be deployed within a web browser or mobile device. As the product matures, business rule engine processes will upon identification be adjusted to provide for continuous improvement of flexibility and need for variation inherent in processes.

  4. Our Market: • We market to organizations that have a direct interest in providing higher quality of care to a (large scale) patient population and simultaneously seek the benefit of cost reduction. Entities such as government and large accountable healthcare organizations are SWH’s primary target markets. One of our current clients is Mainline Health (http://www.mainlinehealth.org/). • Service Wing’s advanced technology helps healthcare providers save millions of dollars annually by reducing Preventable critical clinical events, the cost of patient intake and hospital readmissions that lead to poor clinical and quality outcomes, increased patient costs and mortality. • Service Wing’s broad-use technology can be employed in a variety of diverse medical scenarios including: • Intake and Assessment (physicians and hospitals) – a triage tool that provides immediate risk feedback to behavioral health care providers. Our product allows medical staffs to prioritize walk-in patients for care, immediate appointment for high risk or follow-up for lower risk patients, streamlining patient intake, insurance verification, payment management and assessment. • In-Patient Care (hospitals) – real time event monitoring and analysis of care in order to prevent costly Never Events (non-reimbursable events) and pharmacy pairing errors which lead to over 700,000 Adverse Drug Events annually • Out-Patient Results & Readmissions Prevention (hospitals) – integrating BAN (Body Area Network) wireless devices in the home for monitoring of key vital signs to prevent readmissions ONLY within the first 30 days post discharge from hospital (this timeframe is where the hospital is contractually at risk for non-reimbursement for a readmission).

  5. Our Market Opportunity: Annual Sales Opportunity $2Billion Market * 10% of $2 billion outstanding uncollected deductibles ** 5,000 US Hospitals at $100K annual SaaS fee *** “Rehospitalizations Among Patients in the Medicare Fee-for-Service Program”, New England Journal of Medicine, April 2, 2009

  6. Our Business Model: Our business model is to provide our solution as software as a service (SaaS). (It should be noted this was offered to the government however was declined due to appropriation restrictions). Total cost of ownership would need to be defined by the solution. In the case of a SaaS model, there is an initial setup fee and a monthly service fee based on the transaction amount. If optioning for a traditional software licensing model, the cost will include licensing, maintenance and service fees. Developed to an enterprise standard, the entire solution is fully scalable. Additionally, given the SaaS requirement for the private sector, the solution is particularly expandable to allow for a low cost of ownership.
